HI, I'M anne

I've centered my career and my life on serving others and bettering our community. My experience with building and growing community focused organizations gives me a unique insight and skill set to tackle the problems facing us. My work advocating for our community will allow me to hit the ground running in Olympia as your State Representative.

Meet Anne

Anne’s journey to attain a quality education is similar to so many in our district, she worked her way through college and earned her Bachelor's Degree with a double major in Sociolinguistics and Public Relations right here in Washington. Anne cares deeply about students and educators in our district and will work tirelessly to ensure they have the resources to teach and learn successfully.

Anne knows first hand the intense challenges and the overwhelming joys that come with raising a family. She can relate to the countless families in our area that face tough questions everyday. Anne will fight for families of all kinds.

No stranger to politics, Anne has worked alongside all levels of elected officials to create positive change. Starting in 2002 Anne worked in the office of US Senator Patty Murray in Washington D.C. Since, she has worked to elect progressive, local as well as national, candidates. Experienced with grassroots campaigns and advocacy, she has championed major legislation for critical programs like Breakfast After the Bell and worked to ensure the Farm Bill includes measures to keep vulnerable families fed. She has fought for years to ensure local programs receive adequate funding. Anne knows what it takes to run, win, and legislate. Above all else she listens to the people of our district and brings us the resources we need to improve our communities.

Throughout her career, Anne has possessed a knack for overcoming hardship and is passionate about fulfilling promises. She has experience with small business consulting and understands the challenges that local businesses face. Her ability to create strategic partnerships and promote community driven organizations is evident in her work with Sno-Isle Libraries and the Lake Stevens Community Food Bank, where she served as Executive Director.

Nowhere is Anne’s commitment to this community and its citizens more evident than her efforts to bring healing and justice to victims of crime in our area. Her service as Executive Director of a statewide support services agency is a testament to what Anne stands for and what she will fight for as our Representative. Anne is proud to stand and fight for us when times are tough. She won’t back down.

Anne looks forward to meeting and learning from all members of the 44th Legislative District. She is excited to continue the great work of incredible leaders like Representatives John Lovick, Jared Mead, and Senator Steve Hobbs in Olympia. Her candidacy is based on doing hard work that makes a real difference.  Please contact friendsofanneanderson@gmail.com to tell her how she can earn your vote.
